About the Accommodation

Hopgarden Camping is located in a small hamlet within an area of outstanding natural beauty on the stunning Kent/Sussex border, Amazingly peaceful.

Local villages are Wadhurst and Lamberhurst. Quiet & rural yet good local amenities.

The view from the top of the camping field is stunning, far reaching over the Weald of Kent.

This really is a hidden gem, 5 acres of pasture with spacious pitches.

Bell tents are welcome.

There is a lovely hot water gas shower hut, a clean loo and a kitchen sink for washing up, located next to a fresh water standpipe.

No large gatherings without prior approval.

Well behaved dogs are allowed on the camp field however they must be on a lead or tether at all times - £5 per dog per night.

No extra charge for bringing your own gazebos, puppy pens, awnings etc.

Large pitches - lots of space.

Only fires in elevated fire pits are allowed, No ground fires under any circumstances. Firepits and gas BBQs available to hire directly from us. Add at checkout.

Small campa vans welcome.

Notes

Background/low volume music is allowed up until 10.30pm latest.

No amplified music at any time.

Noise in general after 10.30pm must be kept to a minimum.

Dogs must be on a lead or tether at all times.

Miles of public footpaths & great bike rides. Plenty of pubs and restaurants within 10 minutes drive. Quaint Historic 16th c pub. house within 5 mins walk along with another around 15 mins walk.

Lots of National Trust Places of Historic Interest or Natural Beauty and private country estates to visit, along with many beautiful villages, historic town centres and seaside towns to explore.

Royal Tunbridge Wells 7 miles Hastings 19 miles Rye 20 mins drive Maidstone 20 mins drive Bewl Water is a 10 min walk along a quiet lane.

Transport

Our local train station is Wadhurst, this is on the South-Eastern line and runs regular services into London Bridge &/or Charing Cross (Travel time is approx 50 mins.) and continues onto the seaside town of Hastings in the other direction.

The train station is located approx 2 mile outside of the village of Wadhurst and it is quite a walk up a steep hill to reach the village of Wadhurst.

We are then a further 2 miles on from there, so we offer a collection and drop off to and from the station for our guests, subject to our availability at the time, otherwise we can arrange a local taxi to collect you. Please request this at the time of booking.
